I am using Perixx Bluetooth-mouse or Keyboard and suddenly lost the connection, what shall i do?

The cause of the problem could be the energy-saving option for the Bluetooth adapter or the mouse. For energy saving purpose, Windows switches off the internal Bluetooth adapter when the mouse is not being used for a short while.

 

This setting can be changed on Windows 10 (version 1709, 1803) as follows:

 

1. Open Bluetooth settings (select Start > Settings  > Devices > Bluetooth & Other Devices.)

2. Select More Bluetooth options to find more Bluetooth settings.

3. In the opening pop-up, select the Hardware tab.

4. Under Intel (R) Wireless Bluetooth (R) Adapter and click Properties below.

5. In the pop-up window, click Change Settings.

6. In the pop-up window, select Power Management tab.

7. “Allow the computer to turn of this device to save power”

 

There is connection issue between the keyboard and your device.

 

Here are the basic trouble shootings you can try: 

 

  • Check if your Power Management options are not interfering:
  1. Open your Start Menu and type “Device Manager”, then open the Device Manager.
  2. Under the “Bluetooth” category in Device Manager, find your Bluetooth adapter.
  3. Right-click your Bluetooth adapter and open Properties, then go to the Power Management tab.
  4. In the Power Management tab, un-check “Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power”.
  5. Now click OK and close the Device Manager, then reboot your PC.
  • Reinstall Bluetooth drivers:
  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. When Device Manager opens, find your keyboard, right click it and press Uninstall.
  3. Windows will ask you to confirm that you wish to uninstall the driver. Click on Uninstall.
  4. After confirming and uninstalling your keyboard driver, restart your computer.
  5. Follow the connection instruction on the manual.
  • Please make sure that the device is connected properly to the computer (It is recommended to plug the device directly into the computer USB 2.0 ports rather than an external hub or adapter).
