What shall I do if the PERIPAD-504 Trackpad is scrolling involuntarily?

1. Test on Another Computer: Start by connecting the trackpad to a different computer. If the issue recurs, the trackpad may be defective. 2. Ensure a Direct Connection: Verify that the trackpad is directly connected to one of the computer's USB ports rather than through an extension hub or dock. Using extension hubs can lead to connectivity issues which might cause erratic behavior such as involuntary scrolling.

3. Check and Update Drivers: Remove any previously installed trackpad drivers, then restart your computer. This can resolve conflicts between the trackpad software and your system. For this process, go to device manager and check the driver in Mice and other pointing device

Select “Scan for hardware changes. This will allow your operating system to refresh the new hardware for plug and play.

After refreshing the hardware list, please select “Update driver’ to check the any updates.

Select the option “Search automatically for driver” check driver to update or reinstall for your operating system. After your operating system confirms to reinstall the driver, your trackpad is confirmed that its driver is ready to operate.

4. Adjust Trackpad Settings: Go into your computer's control panel or settings menu to adjust the trackpad settings. Specifically, look for options to modify the scrolling speed and behavior. Reducing the scrolling speed or changing related settings may help mitigate the involuntary scrolling issue.

Why is my trackpad cursor behaving erratically, and how can I fix it?

1. Adjust Cursor Speed and Sensitivity: Access the trackpad settings on your computer (usually found in the Control Panel on Windows or System Preferences on macOS) and adjust the cursor speed or sensitivity. Reducing these settings can often help manage erratic cursor movements.

2. Use an Optimal Surface: Optical and laser mice can behave unpredictably on reflective or transparent surfaces. Use the trackpad on a trackpad pad or a piece of non-reflective, colored paper. This provides a consistent surface for the optical sensor, enhancing its accuracy and preventing erratic behavior.

Is the trackpad compatible with Mac, iMac, or Linux systems?

1. Windows Compatibility: The trackpad is fully compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11.

2. Mac Usage:

Although the trackpad can function on Mac systems with basic function, compatibility may differ across various OS X updates.

Will PERIPAD-504 work with tablet?

PERIPAD-504 keeps tabbing out of one of my games and minimizing windows when I'm trying to maneuver it. Is this a result of the zoom or the tap?

Will PERIPAD-504 work when booting into CMOS or UEFI given that the firmware has a standard USB mouse driver built in?

Scrolling Direction Change through setting in Windows:

The default configuration of PERIPAD-504 not include reverse scrolling. However, it is possible to modify this setting through your Windows Device Manager. If you are using Windows 10 and 11, you can adjust this setting by following these steps:

Click on the Start menu.
Go to Settings.
Select Touchpad.
Navigate to the Scroll & Zoom section.
In the dropdown menu, you can choose the scrolling direction that you prefer.
